School Plus is our extended school service (after school club). It is a high quality provision offering children a structured and enjoyable programme of activities. School Plus currently runs at Highgate Primary and Tetherdown School

How does School Plus work?

The actual activities vary from school to school and from day to day. The children do a physical activity every evening along with one from ICT, Art, Study Support, Literacy/Story time.

We collect children in R-Y2 from their classrooms at the end of the school day. Children in Y3 and above make their way to the registration area. After registration the children have some supervised playtime before starting Activity 1. We then prepare and serve a light meal. Again this varies between schools. Cold meals consist of sandwiches, fruit and vegetables, a couple of biscuits and a cold drink. Hot meals include pasta, baked beans and jacket potatoes.

After meal time, the children take part in a second activity. The evening normally ends with some calm activity like reading etc. You can collect at your convenience. Please let us now if someone not known to us is collecting your child. The collection point and lots of other information is detailed on your confirmation email that is sent when you make the booking.

How to book

All bookings are made via our online booking system and must be made in advance of our child’s first day of attendance.
Bookings are made for the number of evenings per week that you require through to the end of the half term. A new booking is required each half term.
A drop in option available for both school for occasional bookings at £12.50 with more than 24 hours notice or £14.50 for less than 24 hours notice.  Click here to go to our booking system. Highgate Primary (with a daily pick up at St Michael’s)

As we enter the last few weeks of our time at Highgate, we would like to say a big thanks to all the families we have worked with over the last 5 years. It has been a pleasure and we’ll miss you.

Hours: 3.30-6.15pm
Cost: £9.50 per evening (£6.25 per evening for children who qualify for free school meals)
Collection is via the Children’s Centre. The school does not permit entry into the school building.

Tetherdown Primary (with a daily pickup at St James’)

Hours: 3.30-6.00pm
Cost: £9 for 4 or 5 evenings per week, £9.50 for 3 evenings per week, £10 for 1 or 2 evenings per week. £8 for ‘before or after another club’
Collection is via the reception playground. The school does not permit entry into the school building.
